Fids are parallels to monastic novices. The word suggests "faithful" (via Latin) and humorously rhymes with "kid."
Title given by Fids to their tutor, who is a Fraa or Suur. Equivalent to the monastic Novice Master.

The honorific address for a male avout. This is an obvious derivation of the Latin 'Fra' (brother). Grandfraa is used for elder fraas.
The honorific address for a female avout. This is presumably a derivation of the Latin 'Soror' (sister). Grandsuur is used for elder suurs.
Senior avout may take administrative positions, forgoing full devotion to Theorics. These include the Primate, who leads a math, and a staff of Wardens.
