Reticulum

A large data network, linking almost all syntactic devices on Arbre. Sometimes known as the 'Ret'.
'reticulum' (small r) corresponds to our idea of corporate or home networks, either wired or wireless. 'Reticulum' (big R) is a network of networks, corresponding approximately to our World Wide Web or Internet.
The 'Ret' was at one time flooded with 'crap', seemingly correct documents and other media with slight errors in it. The Ita came up with a method to distinguish legit documents from tarnished ones.
The Author does at one point slip and mentions the word 'network', but not in the context of a network of computers.
