On rereading Anathem recently, it occurs to me that there's no reason why Tulia would speak Fluccish (an important point just after she and the others from Saunt Edhar's are Voco'd, since the point is explicitly made that Tenners, who do, are paired with Hundreders, who don't, to travel to Saunt Tredegarh). After all, she was found at the Day Gate as a newborn and was raised entirely in the concent, right?
